Arts Angle Vantage welcomes adults, 21 and older, who want to help give our inaugural Arts Angle Newsroom participants a wonderful experience — connecting with the arts in Louisville, reporting and reviewing the arts, and exploring different ways of reporting.

We currently have opportunities for volunteers and associates (click button for descriptions below) to work directly with Arts Angle Newsroom participants ages 14 to 18 and share their knowledge and insights. The Arts Angle Newsroom promises rewarding and immersive learning opportunities for adults and young people.
This free program from the nonprofit Arts Angle Vantage meets on Mondays (4 to 6 p.m.) and Saturdays (noon to 2 p.m.), Jan. 10 through May 16, at Francis Parker School of Louisville, 233 W. Broadway.
Volunteers’ and associates’ schedules do not require attendance at every meeting. We will work with applicants to help accommodate their schedules.
These roles are best suited for working or retired professionals with experience as reporters, editors, copyeditors, and other roles in journalism or communications.

Mentors in Arts Angle Vantage's workshops since 2018 have include Ayrica Bishop (top left), Andrew Cenci (bottom left), Melissa Chipman (top left and top right), and Elizabeth Kramer (bottom left).
Activities include supporting and mentoring participants through the story-production process, identifying story angles, determining sources, or overcoming creative stumbling blocks.
We strive to have young people in the driver’s seat and honor youth-driven programming and youth voices.
